Make Your Q4 Commerce Pitches Land—Here’s How.
Freelancers, Editors and Affiliate Managers — Oh My!
People Inc. Do we really have to call it that? Okay, okay. Fine.
If you’ve been around the block for a while, you know Time Inc. used to own the now legacy Meredith publications like People, Travel + Leisure etc. In fact, some networks still have those publications under the Time Inc. (So sometimes it does pay to know the lineage.)
Anyway, I digress: the new People Inc. logo is the same type as the original Time Inc logo! Paying homage to their roots, which I do love as a former graphic designer.

Welcome to You Ask, We Answer.
We had our newsletter focused on affiliate marketing lingo scheduled for this week, but we had a subscriber ask a few questions that we think could help the entire community to be sure we’re all on the same page when we’re getting started. So, we’ve put that one on hold until next week because this, friends, is truly why we started this newsletter ➡️ to build a community of publicists who support each other.
If you need more information & want something broken down, please leave a comment with exactly what you’re looking for so we can address in upcoming issues!
In the debut section of You Ask We Answer, we’re getting down to the basics:
basics of building and managing partnerships with media
who does what behind a publication’s commerce curtain
how do these conversations differ from typical product pitching to reporters and editors
